I am committed to ensuring that everyone has access to the outdoors as a space for emotional regulation and well-being. We must cultivate a relationship with the natural world that benefits both our health and the environment itself.

ABOUT

CHILDHOOD IN NATURE

Jada’s parents introduced her to the outdoors at a young age, creating a strong bond with nature. Growing up in Southern California, she also faced racism and discrimination, which took a toll on her mental health. Being outdoors became a place where she felt safe and at ease.

BATTLES WITH HEALTH

In college, Jada pursued environmental studies at UCSB to give back to the planet. She balanced many roles, including lifeguard, swim coach, surf instructor, and marine researcher. Eventually, the demands took a toll on her health, leading to a pivotal moment when she became severely ill and realized she needed to prioritize her well-being.

A PATH OF HEALING

After two years of healing, Jada found clarity in holistic wellness, focusing on mental, physical, spiritual, and social health. This journey inspired her to create Daybreak Beach Club, an organization dedicated to fostering healthy people and a healthy planet by building environmental stewards.
